Mangaluru: Allen Rajesh Vas, working as Senior Intelligence Officer, Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence (DGGI) in Mangaluru Regional Unit will be conferred with the Prestigious Presidential Award of Appreciation for his Specially Distinguished Record of Service on the occasion of Republic Day, 2018.

Allen Rajesh Vas with his calibre has individually gathered intelligence/information on tax evasion and booked cases involving more than Rs. 41 crores and also played a prominent role in booking cases of duty evasion of more than Rs.100 crores and succeeded in recovering duty of more than Rs. 62 crores.

The officer, with his high acumen has detected and investigated high profile tax evasion cases spread all over India. The remarkable competence, devotion to duty and consistently high level of performance makes Allen Rajesh Vas a worthy recipient of the Prestigious Presidential Award of Appreciation for his Specially Distinguished Record of Service, said D M Soori, assistant Director, Mangaluru Regional unit in a statement.
