Mangalore : Authorities at the Mangalore International Airport have tightened security arrangements in the backdrop of latest intelligence information that the Indian Mujahideen was likely to hijack a plane to demand the release of Yasin Bhatkal, the co-founder of IM who was arrested a few months ago. Security at airports across the nation has also been stepped up following the intelligence reports.
JT Radhakrishna, Director of the Mangalore International Airport has informed that there are orders to deploy special security measures in the wake of intelligence information. Canine squads were also seen on duty at the airport and outside the airport on January 3, Friday as an additional security measure.
