Mangalore : A security guard who worked at Carstreet in the city  reportedly committed suicide on the railway track near Thokkottu on August 9, Friday  after  deciding to  donate his organs and body. The police found a note in his pocket expressing his desire to donate his organs to the needy and his body to a medical college.

The deceased is Manikanta (42). He is survived by his wife Sunitha. The reason that prompted him to the extreme step is not known.

Mangalore Railway Police have registered a case.
