SDPI to stage 10-day protest against LPG price hike

Mangaluru: The District Committee of the Social Democratic Party of India has decided to hold 10-day districtwide protests against skyrocketing LPG prices and increasing inflation.

In the press release, SDPI has stated, “Apart from fuel, the prices of many other essential commodities like pulses and edible oils too have skyrocketed causing widespread distress. The central government led by PM Narendra Modi revelling at the misery of the people, without taking any corrective measures,” it alleged.

SDPI District Secretary Anwar Sadat Bazattur said in a press release that “Moved by the plight of the people already suffering on account of the Covid pandemic the SDPI has decided to launch district-wide protests at Block, and village levels across Dakshina Kannada.”
