Moodabidri: A man died after the scooter he was riding collided with a tipper truck on Bantwal-Moodibidri highway near Paper Mill on January 11 morning.
Arun D’Souza, aged 38, son of Thomas D’Souza and a resident of Sangabettu in Siddakatte is the deceased person.

Arun had left home on his two-wheeler for work at Siddakkate Church farm and met with an accident while evading a canine on the road. A grievously injured Arun was rushed immediately to a private hospital in Moodabidri and later shifted to Mangaluru. He failed to respond to treatment and eventually succumbed to injuries.

Police have registered a case against tipper driver Rama Poojary and are investigating.
