Schools in twin districts to reopen after Dasara holidays on Oct 28

Mangaluru: The repeated requests of several oragnisationa have been finally accepted and the Dasara holidays’ schedule in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts has been modified. Schools will reopen now on October 28 instead of October 24.

The organizations backed by teachers put light on the fact that while other districts’ schools were closed for six days during bandh and strikes, the twin districts’ schools were not closed. The commissioner in the department of public instruction passed an order informing the changes in the holidays.

The associations have thanked the minster for education and officials in the department for accepting their request.
