Mangaluru: SCDCC Bank seems to be in the news yet again with its employee and an office-bearer of SCDCC Bank Employees Union approaching the police alleging threat to his life from its President M N Rajendra Kumar.

The employee Chandraprakash, in his complaint with the Bunder police station has said that Kumar had called him to his cabin and threatened him with dire consequences for raising his voice about the irregularities taking place in the bank.

It is learnt that the police authorities are seeking legal counsel before registering a first information report based on the complaint.

It may be recalled that post demonetisation in December 2016, IT raids were conducted at the bank premises after news spread that they had encouraged illegal deposits through fake accounts.
