‘Sangh’ gets into field vouching for BJP aggressively in DK, Udupi?

Mangaluru: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is actively providing crucial campaign support to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the upcoming assembly elections with various strategies to win the polls in the state. Though the Sangh never gets directly involved in the election campaign, it has suggested its various cadres to join the BJP’s election campaign.

The Bharathiya Janatha Party had conceded defeat in 2013 Assembly elections, in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi by winning only 2 seats out of 13 constituencies. Hence, this time Sangh Parivar is devising various strategies to help the BJP win the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections. Even in undivided districts, the Sangh has directed its various cadres to join the election campaign and support BJP to win all the 13 constituencies in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

According to sources, the RSS functionaries have organised Sangh Parivar baitaks (meetings) in all the constituencies of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Selected Swayam Sevakas from the Sangh have been given the responsibility of election campaign with certain conditions. Moreover, the Sangh Parivar has planned to field at least 5000 activists during the election campaign in each constituency of the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

It may be recalled that, as per the directions of the Sangh Parivar leaders BJP Mahila Morcha members have started first campaign- Mane-Mane Kamala especially to woo women voters in undivided Dakshina Kannada from April 6. Nearly, 1500 women in each constituency are visiting door to door, campaigning against the Congress.

The BJP, during it’s campaign is talking extensively about murder of several saffron wings members include the state under the Congress rule.

The Sangh (RSS), in order to aid the BJP overcome the bitter taste of defeat it met in 2013 Assembly elections in undivided DK will actively participating in the election campaign for the party it is said.
