Mangalore: The Eminemt Kannada Writer and Chair person of Sandesha Jury Dr Na D’souza announced the prestigious Sandesha Awards in the press meet on Friday September 29.

Renowned Kannada Writer and Winner of Kandra Sahitya Academy award Vaidehi has been chosen as the recipient of Sandesha Kannada Literature Award while Cyril G Sequiera, well known as a CGS Tacode has been chosen for Sandesha Konkani Literature Award.

The Jury has chosen Lalitha Rai for the Sandesha Award for Tulu Literature while Artist BKS Verma has been chosen for Sandesha Art Award.

Famous Director P Sheshadri has been chosen for Sandesha Film Award whereas BV Rajaram has been chosen for Sandesha Media Award.

The other achievers who have been chosen for other awards are Abdul Rasheed for the Sandesha Journalism Award, Lawrence Saldanha for Sandesha Konkani Music Award, Sr Irene Mascarenhas for Sandesha Best Teacher Award and NGO White Doves for Sandesha special Recognition Award.

Sandesha Foudation Director, Fr Victor Vijay Lobo; Trustee Roy Castelino and Convener of the Awards Titus Noronha were present at the occasion.
