Mangaluru: An engineering student from Sahyadri Engineering College died on spot in an accident between his motorcycle and a tipper at Nagori on Wednesday evening, September 21.

Ahmed Riyan of Bhatkal has been identified as the deceased. He was pursuing his second year mechanical engineering and was staying in a hostel. According to sources, the body of the deceased was lying on the road for about 30 minutes. It is said that no one came forward to shift the body.

Mangaluru rural police, who rushed to the spot, cleared the traffic and shifted the body to Wenlock hospital in the city.
