SAC’s Shruthi Amin Nala’s research paper chosen for UNESCO’s Intl Workshop!

Mangaluru: “The biodiversity of Western Ghats, design and its decline”, a research paper by Shruthi Amin Nala, a Kannada lecturer at St Aloysius College, has been selected for a research workshop, scheduled to be held at Saarland in Germany in June, 2020. 

This workshop is being jointly organised by the UNESCO and International Institute of Regional and Environmental Studies. Shruthi, in her research paper, explains how the biodiversity of the Western Ghats has been diminishing over the past three decades, owing to developmental projects and many other factors.

It can be noted that this is the only research paper that has been selected from India for this workshop, during which, discussions will be held on the same.

Shruthi is a research student of Dr Dhananjaya Kumble of Mangalore University. She has also received guidance from Dr Saraswathi Kumari, HOD of Kannada Department, St Aloysius College.
