Rs 12 lakhs worth gold seized at M’luru Airport

Mangaluru: The customs officers at Mangalore International Airport seized gold worth over Rs 12 lac from a passenger on Sunday July 12.

The passenger has been identified as Mohammed Mogral, a resident of Mogral in Kumble, Kasargod.

The seized gold was concealed in the form of washers attached to the inner lining of a grey coloured stroller bag, which he had checked in. The customs officers seized 464 grams of gold worth Rs 12,20,320.

Accused passenger Mohammed arrived at the airport by Air India flight number IX 816 from Abu Dhabi.

Further investigation is under progress.
