Moodbidri: Exposing the loopholes in the storage and distribution mechanism of food ingredients a rotten rat was found in the Everest Kasuri Methi pack bought by a customer at Thodar.

The packet was bought by the customer a week ago, while she opened it on Monday November 3, unveiling the dead baby rat.

The packet belongs to batch No E-1463 of the Mumbai-based highly publicized company Everest Masala.

The packet, priced at Rs 79, was packed on September 4, 2014. The expiry date was mentioned as May 15, 2015.
