Mangaluru: It was an eventful day for the Rotary Club Mangalore City members as the Rotary District 3181 Governor Rtn PHF MM Rohinath visited Mangaluru and met the club members during a club assembly on his official visit on Wednesday, September 5 at Hotel Ocean Pearl.
During the assembly, the District Governor appreciated the Rotary Club Mangalore City for its activities and called upon all to work towards the betterment of the society using the Rotary as a platform.
Assistant Governor Diwakar Amin, Rotary Club Mangalore City President Rtn Dr. Ranjan RK, Secretary Rtn Prashanth Rai, Rtn Vidhya Rao, Rtn Saritha DSouza, Rtn Sorabh Nahata, Rtn Shailendra Pai, Rtn Amarnath Savur, Rtn Sumith Rao, Rtn Dr Rohan Monis, Rtn Dr Anil Kumar and Rtn C J Pinto were present.
After the club assembly Rtn. PHF M. M. Rohinath, along with Rtn Dr. Ranjan RK, Secretary Rtn Prashanth Rai, Rtn Divakar Amin, and members inaugurated a water purifier installed at Vidya Primary School, Derebail – Konchady, donated by the Rotary Club Mangalore City. School Manager Madhava Suvarna was present.
Later all the members, along with the District Governor visited the DK Zilla Panchayath Govt Higher Primary School Bolar and donated 32 chairs for the students and teachers. The District Governor and the President also laid the foundation stone for the boys’ toilet block project sponsored by the club. Meenakshi K, Headmistress, BEO SR Lokesh were present.
