Rotary club of Mangaluru south organizes cricket tournament as part of ‘Samarpan’

Mangaluru: The district cricket tournament as part of ‘Samarpan’, a district level sports tournament for the year 2020-2021 was organized on Sunday, April 4 at the Mangala stadium for all the sports stars of RI district 3181.

The tournament was inaugurated by Rotary Club DG Rtn Ranganath Bhat.

“A total of 11 teams from Mangaluru to Mysuru participated in the competition,” said Sathish Boloor, event chairman. Almost 300 people, included participants, were present at the event, he added.

On the occasion, Dr Ranjan R.K, official umpire of the programme and Manohara Amin, member of the Karnataka state cricket association were felicitated.

At the valedictory function inaugurated by Rotary Club DGN Rtn Prakash Karanth, the winners of the cricket tournament were awarded. The first place was claimed by Mysuru Midtown and the second place goes to Puttur East.

‘Samarpan‘ was organized by Rotary District 3181 and Rotary Club of Mangaluru South in the memory of Late Divakar Amin.
