Rotary Club Mangaluru donates COVID-19 sample collection kiosks to Wenlock Hospital

Mangaluru: The Rotary Club of Mangaluru donated three COVID-19 sample collection kiosks to the district Wenlock Hospital on Saturday, April 11.

These kiosks are completely sealed and reduce contact between the patient and doctors. These kiosks will also reduce the requirement of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) for individual healthcare workers.

Manufactured by Maroors Aluminium and Interiors, these kiosks cost a total of Rs 1.5 lakhs.

District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Ramachandra Bayari thanked the Rotary Club for their generous contribution towards the fight against COVID-19. “The District Health Department and district administration are very grateful to the Rotary Club of Mangaluru as these kiosks are of utmost importance in the current situation,” he said.

Rotary Club president Jathin Attavar, secretary Dr Pramod, Community Service Director Adithya Pai, former president Rajendra Kalbavi, Yathish Baikampady, Dilraj Nagar, members Ashwin Pai Marur, Shashidhar Pai, Sadananda Poojary and others were present.
