Till the work is completed, traffic on one side of the road will be completely stopped, while the other side will be available for traffic, he added.

Mayor Mahabala Marla said that four lane roads will be constructed from Bunts Hostel to PVS circle very soon. Mangaluru is developing and it must, which is our sole intention..

Tiff between corporation members

Before the function, there was a verbal tiff between the corporator of Mangaladevi Premanand from BJP and Vinay Raj from the Court ward for putting up a banner and not inviting the Local MP Nalin Kumar Kateel for the event.

Premanand was tremendously upset and alleged that the development works have been hampered due to political differences. He said that this project is initiated by the corporation and it is not a political, he asserted Vinay Raj.

Soon Congress’s own corporator Ashok DK jumped on the bandwagon, stating that his photo was not put on the banner. He said, “I am the MCC Works Committee president, although Vinay Raj had put a big banner with his own photo and other Congress leaders, but he could not give importance to my work”, he said disappointedly

MCC commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, deputy mayor Kavitha Vasu, T K Sudheer, Shashidhar Hegde and others who were present during the occasion, also tried to pacify the rebels.
