Mangalore: A father and his four-year-old son were killed in a road accident at Baikampady junction on Sunday, June 14.

The deceased have been identified as Abdul Basheer and his son Shayan, residents of Krishnapura. According to the police sources, Abdul Basheer was heading from Mangaluru to Krishnapura in his motorcycle accompanied by his wife and son. When he reached near Baikampady junction, a speeding lorry hit Abdul Basheer’s motorcycle from behind and knocked them down.

As a result, the four-year-old Shayan died at the spot. The locals at the spot rushed Abdul Basheer and his wife to the hospital. However, Abdul Basheer succumbed to his injuries at night.
