Bantwal :Police have arrested three people in connection with the murder of Rikshaw driver Mohammad Refai, a resident of Badigudde in Sujeeru near Maripalla.

The arrested are identified as Mohammad Asif, Dhanaraj and Siraj alias Balekai Siraj. Mohammad Asif is said to be prime accused in the murder. Dhanraj and Siraj had helped him in the crime.

Four more persons are said to be involved in the crime hence Bantwal Circle inspector Belliyappa and Rural SI Nagaraj under two teams are searching for them.

Tuesday district police superintendent also came to Bantwal to guide them in the investigation.

The arrested persons will be produced in the court on August 13.
