Rickshaw driver stabbed for pointing out traffic rules

Mangaluru: An auto rickshaw driver was stabbed in broad daylight near Roopavani theatre in Market Road area on Sunday September 13.

The auto driver has been identified as Gopalkrishna (48), a resident of Panjimogeru.

It is learnt that two persons on a bike were riding into a no-entry area, when Gopalkrishna signaled them, the bikers in anger got into a verbal fight.

In a rage the bikers stabbed the auto driver and fled from the spot. The bike riders are yet to be identified; however, the police have traced the bike.

Gopalkrishna was admitted to Wenlock hospital, subsequently.
