Mangalore : KJP Secretary V Dhananjaya Kumar has said that State Excise Minister Renukacharya and Heavy Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani will soon be joining the KJP and all arrangements are underway for the same.
Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the District Office of the KJP at Nantur in Mangalore on March 19, Tuesday, Dhananjaya said both the leaders were in constant touch with KJP leaders ever since the ULB results were announced. They will soon join KJP, he said.
Commenting on Housing Minister Somanna’s statement in Mangalore that efforts would be made to bring Yeddyurappa back to the BJP, Dhananjaya said Somanna is like a migratory leader. He has migrated to almost all parties in the state. But our leader Yeddyurappa is unlike him. There is no need to attach much importance to Somannas statement. Continuing, he said Let Somanna think about his own party rather than worrying about our leaders.
He said the partys performance in the ULB polls was satisfactory and added the party has fared well despite lack of enough preparations. Had the two leaders who will be shortly joining the KJP, joined our party before the elections, then KJP could have managed to get over 1000 seats all over the state, Dhananjaya claimed.
He further informed that four teams comprising of KJP leaders will be touring the length and breadth of the state beginning from March 19, Tuesday, to strengthen the party organization.
Dhananjaya said the KJP would be backing JD(U) State President MP Nadagowda, Raitha Sangha leader KS Puttannaiah, Kodihalli Chandrashekhar,Dalita Sangharsha Samithi State President Venkataswamy and Yogaramesh in better interest of the state . As for the rest, the party would go it alone in other places, he said.
Ravindra Shetty Harekala, District President of KJP, Dinaker, State Secretary and Mariamma Thomas, State Executive Committee Member were also present.
