Mangaluru: Dr. G. G. Laxman Prabhu, a well-known urologist with 36 years of experience, passed away on November 17. Working at KMC Hospital in Mangaluru, he was recognized for his expertise in general urology, urolithiasis, andrology, urodynamics, recon-urology, urogynecology, and endourology. Dr. Prabhu was known for his meticulous attention to detail, accurate diagnoses, and compassionate patient care.

Holding degrees in MBBS, MS General Surgery, MCh Genitourinary Surgery, and DNB Urology, he was elected as the Secretary (Elect) of the Urological Society of India in 2022. Throughout his career, Dr. Prabhu served in various leadership roles in medical associations, contributing significantly to the field of urology. His passing is a significant loss to the medical community.
