Mangaluru: The inauguration of the much awaited renovated Town Hall will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 11 am, Mangaluru City Corporation Mayor Jacintha Vijaya Alfred informed.

Addressing a press meet held at the MCC Office on Wednesday, November 11, she said that District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai and Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake will be attending the inaugural ceremony.
A cultural programme from school students will be staged to mark the occasion.
“Few pending works will be finished within the next 10 days. The Town Hall will be open for public from December. The revised rent will be rolled out after electricity bills and other charges are calculated,” the Mayor informed.
“The total renovation cost around Rs 4.58 crore. Based on the feedback collected from artistes, teakwood flooring for the stage, advanced lighting system, better facilities in the green room and LEDs have been installed. The hall is equipped with new lights, seats and air-conditioner,” she added.
The maintenance of the renovated hall will be taken care by the MCC.
