Ramanatha Rai inaugurates new auditorium of Govt Teachers’ Training College
Mangalore : Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment and DK District in-charge Minister has stressed the need for educational institutions to impart quality education.
He was speaking after inaugurating the new auditorium and office building of the Government Teachers’ Training College near Town Hall in Mangalore on June 8, Saturday.
Continuing, Rai said education plays a key role in the progress of the nation while also making the life of an individual meaningful.
Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo who was present as a chief guest, urged schools and parents not to burden students with too much of studies. He stated that too much importance is attached to computer education, while other areas like horticulture, agriculture too must be given importance.
Ramarao HS, Director of DSERT, Bangalore, Rajendra Kalbavi, Project Director of District Nirmithi Kendra, Philomena Lobo, Principal of the college and AC Vinayaraj, Corporator, were also present.
