Bantwal: State Forest, Environment and Ecology minister and six-time Congress MLA from Bantwal Constituency, Ramanath Rai said, “I have done development keeping aside politics of religion and have done all that is possible within my capacity for each and every member of my constituency irrespective of caste, religion or party and that itself is my strength to fight this election and my victory is assured”.
He was speaking at a press meet after opening his election office behind Bantwal KSRTC bus stand. “Elections are like exams. Unlike others who indulge in all kinds of unethical politics only during election time, I have continuously served the people and now am ready for the exam. If the people of my constituency feel that my work is satisfactory, then I deserve to pass this exam. People say being a minister, I am more in the constituency than in my Department office. I agree and I feel that I need to give more time to the people who have trusted and voted me to represent them,” he added.
He also said that he has made his constituency a model for all other constituencies. “I am a tireless person. I never rest and am always available to the people. The only request is that for the next 27 days, all the party workers have to work 24×7, spread the development works undertaken and work for our victory”.
UT Khader, who was also present said, “Social media is very active and spreading a lot of fake messages. Read and enjoy what you receive on your phone, but vote only for congress.”
Ex-bank employee, Baby Kunder along with his supporters joined the party on this occasion.
District Congress President Harish Kumar, Mangaluru Mayor Bhaskar Moily, MCC Chief Whip Sashidar Hegde, Corporator Naveen DSouza, Wakf Board Advisor Kanachur Monu, Mamatha Ghatty and others were present.
