Bantwal: District incharge minister Ramanath Rai visited Kolnadu village and inaugurated several developmental works here on Tuesday.
Minister after inaugurating the new Village gram panchayath building addressed the gathering at Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra and said the present state government has implemented several pro-poor schemes and supported backward classes.
“It is sad to know still few attempt to criticize these state programmes. Many villages in Bantwal have seen progress due to these schemes. For the last 15 years, distribution of title deeds was completely stopped. But the present government has restarted the process. On March 16, tender has been called and many roads in this region will be developed,” he said.
District panchayath member M S Mohammad said Salethur panchayath has effectively utilised the funds sanctioned for the development of Kolnadu village.
Taluk panchayath former members Haji Sale Mohammad, Fayaz, Ummar, Ibrahim Manchi, Abdul Rahiman Noojibail, Lohitashwa, Shahul Hameed were honoured on the occasion.
Title deeds were distributed to the beneficiaries.
Taluk panchayath member Madhava Mave, Devika R Rai, TP chief executive officer Cyprian Miranda, Bantwal panchayathraj department assistant engineer G Narendra Babu, PWD engineer Umesh Bhat, engineers Sheshadri, Ravi Kumar, assistant Tahshildar Vamana, revenue officer Divakar, Abbas Ali were present.
Panchayath former president Subhaschandra Shetty Kulalu welcomed. President Manjula Madhava Mave gave introductory speech. Vice president Mohammad Manchi thanked. Naufal Kudthamogeru and Vishwanatha Shetty Perladabailu compered.
