Mangaluru: The usage of the word `Hindu Terror’ used by the Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has been condemned by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s State Co-convener Anwar Manippady and he opined that was vote bank politics by the party.
Addressing mediapersons at BJP’s election office on Tuesday, April 2, Manippady said, “Rahul had made such a statement only to gain the confidence of the minority people. He is speaking so eyeing the Muslim and Christian votes. Such hidden agenda won’t help Congress get votes”, he said.
Manippady stressed that Congress had no concern for the minority community though it has been promising providing welfare programmes for them. I have filed a report that properties worth Rs 2.30 Lakh Crore belonging to the Wakf Board has been encroached upon by the leaders of Congress and other parties. Though the High Court and Supreme Court have directed to file a report on the same, the state government is not ready to do so. If it is moved, over 10 Congress leaders will be sent behind the bars”, he said.
Shedding light on the “pro-people” programmes of the union government, Manippady said that people should vote for Nalin Kumar Kateel in order to realise the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “India’s reputation has reached greater heights at the international level. If it has to continue, it is inevitable for us to support Modi”, he said.
BJP leaders like Monappa Bhandary, Santhosh Kumar Boliar, Ramachandra Baikampady, Suraj Jain among others were present.
