Puttur’s Manu Saale is new CEO of Mercedes-Benz RDI

Mangalore :  Manu Saale  hailing from Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district has  been appointed the new Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India (MBRDI).  Manu Saale is the latest in the list of Indians who are making it to top posts of multi-national companies.

Incidentally, this is for the first time that an Indian is being appointed to the top post in Benz. He will assume charge on April 1.

The announcement was made  by Dr Thomas Weber, Board Member  at Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz at the  MBDRI at Whitefield in Bangalore on February 20, Thursday.

Manu Saale will take over from Jens Catarius who will now move to an operations role in Daimler’s R&D Headquarters  in Stuttgart, Germany.

Manu Saale who had his  education in Karnataka said “I am a true Indian and a  Kannadiga. I studied in Karnataka and am serving Mercedes Benz since 2011.” “I have the challenge of taking the Research and Development unit of Mercedes Benz  to greater heights,” he said.
