Mangaluru: After a young dance troupe member met his tragic end on the morning of April 29, when a speeding truck rammed into his scooter and ran him over near Pumpwell, a case has been registered against the concerned officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the contractor responsible for the flyover being constructed there.

The police have also filed a case against the truck driver who rammed into the bike.

The complaint that was filed accused the officials of the NHAI and the contractor of not making suitable alternative arrangements for the smooth plying of vehicles, thereby committing gross negligence.

The young dancer, Akshay (26) from Kumpala and member of “Aryans Dance Group”, was on his was to a dance programme when he met his unfortunate end.
