Pulwama terror attack anniversary: Leaders offer tribute to martyrs

Mangaluru: Today, February 14 being the first anniversary of the Pulwama terror attack, Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath went to the war memorial at Kadri and paid tribute to the CRPF Jawans who lost their lives on the fateful day.

After paying tribute to the martyrs, Kamath said that the people of the country are able to live happy lives life as our security personnel are on service round the clock. “We should respect them for their selfless service. It is everyone’s duty to commemorate the jawans’ contributions,” he said.

Kamath also asked the parents, teachers and elders to teach human values to the children and make them aware of the contribution of the security personnel, who are safeguarding our country. “Children should possess the sense of nationality and patriotism which are very essential to construct a strong nation,” he opined.

Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and other organisations also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack. They lit a lamp and offered a floral tribute to the war memorial on the occasion.

Leaders of Congress including J R Lobo, Vishwas Kumar Das, Sudheer T K and others also offered floral tribute to the war memorial.
