Prime accused in Vasudeva Adiga murder case withdraws bail petition

Kundapur :  In an interesting development, the bail petition of  Ramesh Bayari, the prime accused in the case of murder of RTI activist Vandaru Vasudeva Adiga,  has been  withdrawn by  his advocate BV Acharya. Bayari is in judicial custody at present.

The bail petition was earlier moved  before the vacation bench of High Court headed by Justice BV Pinto two weeks ago. However, the petition was moved to the bench headed by Justice Sridhar Rao which is handling the case.

It is learnt, BV Acharya, advocate for Bayari moved the  application withdrawing the bail petition  after the judge referred to various aspects like  a writ petition that has been filed against granting conditional bail, moving the bail petition directly in High Court and such other aspects.

Meanwhile, another accused Subrahamanya Udupa has been granted conditional bail in the case.
