Mangaluru: Fr. Denis Castelino passed away at the age of 73 on Friday, February 1.

A creative writer and also a social worker, Fr. Denis was known for his simplicity.

Ordained in 1971, Fr. Denis served as an Asst Parish Priest before taking up the role of a Parish Priest.

He was the founder of ‘Our Lady of Vailankanni Shrine’ at Stella Maris Church, Kalmady and had also initiated the now famous community weddings at Rosario Cathedral.
