Moodbidri : A Seeyalabhisheka with 1008 tender coconut offering and a mass prayer was offered to Lord Hanuman  at the Sri Hanuman Temple in the town on Friday July 4 on behalf of the Block Congress Committee, seeking  the blessings of the Rain God. The ceremony was organised in the backdrop of rain playing truant bringing in fears of famine.

On this occasion, a sum of Rs 10,000 was donated towards the temple renovation on behalf of the Congress.

Premanath Maarla, Block Congress Vice Presidents, Chandrahas Sanil, Youth Congress President, Councillor Suresh Kotian, Congress leaders Raghu Poojari, Wilson Mendonca, Trustee Ashok Mallya and others were  present.
