Udupi: Various competitions and sports events both for men and women will be organized at Malpe Beach during the “Beach Utsav” under the aegis of the  Udupi Utsava Committee, informed Yuvaraj, President of Udupi CMC.

He was speaking at a function held  to launch the logo of the Utsav. Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj launched the logo on January 14, Tuesday.

The Beach Utsav will also feature various cultural programmes on all the three days from 6 pm onwards.

Sports events like tug of war, beach volleyball, beach kabaddi and boat race will be held for men. Similarly, throw ball, beach kabbadi and tug of war competitions will be held for women. Besides, competitions like kite flying, sand sculpture, fishing with net, swimming, inter-college dance competition for children will also be held.
