Bangalore:State BJP President Prahlad Joshi has demanded that the state government included superstitions practiced by non-Hindu communities too in the proposed legislation banning superstitious practices and black magic.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the BJP will not allow implementation of the Bill and added it will not allow the assembly session if the government tabled the Bill in both houses.
The BJP demanded that superstitious practices in all religions be brought under the ambit of the proposed bill. He said the Bill has hurt the sentiments of Hindus. Reforms take place naturally and there is no need for laws for the same, he contended.
The proposed Karnataka Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and Other Inhuman Evil and Gory Practices and Black magic Bill, 2013, those encouraging and practicing such acts will face action.
