We are here in this earth for sometime and gone forever. As long as we live we try to achieve something worthwhile in life. There are countless people who are living a miserable existence. Meanwhile, there are a few who, in spite of their helplessness are generous to help those in difficulty of their mite. God also seems harsh on those who are helpful, cultured, friendly, hardworking, blessed with good character. The ill fate come one after the other, making their life living hell. One among such person is Raju Maru Patagara, who is battling for life owing to both kidney failures.
Ideal personality:
Thirty-two-year-old Raju Maru Patagara is a hardworking and honest auto rickshaw driver past 7 years. He was well mannered with the passengers and sustained the livelihood of the family, but fate stuck in his life in the form of both kidney’s failure.
Mother willing to donate her kidney:
Raju’s mother so moved with the plight of her son is determined to give him a new lease of life, by donating her kidney. The surgeons verified the suitability and estimated the transplantation surgery would cost nearly Rs 6 to 7 lac at K S Hegde Hospital in Mangalore. The family is not in a position raise that much of money.
Determination magnified in his eyes:
Raju has determination to undergo kidney transplantation and carry on with the trade to sustain the family, and also live as long as God keeps him in good health by helping the fellowmen. He has a gut feeling that he would conquer the fate, but the poverty is killing his spirit. The kind-hearted generous donors are expected to contribute their mite in giving a new lease of life to Raju.
