Bantwal: The girl and boy who went missing on November 9 have been traced by the special team. The girl was found at the home of a boy from a different community.

It may be recalled, the girl from Pilinguli in Kanyana village went missing on November 9 and a complaint was filed at Vittal police station by her mother. Immediately a special team was formed to trace the couple.

Finally, the girl was found at a house in Nainarmule in Kasaragod along with one Sameer (27), a resident of Shirankallu in Kanyana. The police have taken statements from the couple. The girl was reluctant to go with her mother, hence she has been sent to a rehabilitation centre in Mangaluru.

The special team of thepolice was led by Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police, Bhushan G Borase.
