Kasargod: A police team led by DySP T P Ranjith nabbed six accused on Wednesday May 21 for abducting a girl from her residence at Alampady last week.

The girl was saved from Badiyadka vicinity where the accused had hidden her.
The accused have been identified as 29-year-old Saleem, a resident of Povval, the girl’s ex-lover 27-year-old Hakim, a resident of Alampady, 23-year-old Ashraf, a resident of Anangoor, 28-year-old Farooq from Nalamail, 33-year-old Hussain alias Sudu from Anangoor and 21-year-old Musoorilah from Alampady.
Reportedly the girl was kidnapped from her residence when her parents had gone to the nearby mosque.
Hakim, who had been ditched by the girl, is known to be the master-mind behind the plan. As the girl was to get married to somebody else, Hakim could not take this betray and kidnapped her along with his friends.
Hakim and his friends kidnapped and kept her at Hakim’s relative house at Kottodi however with the fear that the police might get aware of their whereabouts she was then taken to Badiyadka.
The police soon received information about them and rescued the girl. Hakim was also arrested on Wednesday night. Based on the information given by Hakim other five accused were also arrested.
Police sub-inspector E V Ravindran, Rajashekaran, Pradeep Chavara, Sinos Siriak, Shaju Manjeshwar and Sunil Abraham participated in the operation.
