Kasaragod: Police resorted to lathicharge to avoid clashes after a group of miscreants attacked a youth here in Uppala on May 21.
Muneer (24) was attacked near Nayabazar in Uppala. He has been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

An attack on a youth led to a minor clash between groups which later turned violent in Uppala. The police rushed to the spot. They resorted to lathicharge and brought the situation under control.

A bike was damaged in the clash.

Police have beefed up the security in Uppala following the clashes.
