Mangaluru: With no clue about the whereabouts of Naresh Shenoy, who is said to be the prime suspect in Vinayak Baliga murder case, the police have issued lookout notice for him in all the major airports in the country.

Police have widened their network for the arrest of absconding Yuva Brigade leader Naresh Shenoy in connection to the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga, who was hacked to death near his residence on March 21. The police on Wednesday issued a lookout notice in all major airports of the country to arrest him if he tried to move out of the country.

The police even raided his house a few days back but Shenoy managed to escape. Baliga’s family has expressed doubts that he might have already fled to the Middle East.

Two teams of the CCB police visited Goa and Andaman Islands, as there were suspicions that he and other accused might have escaped to these places.

Source said that Naresh Shenoy has applied for anticipatory bail from the high court. The police urged the court not to grant him bail. Unconfirmed sources said that a non-bailable warrant has been issued against him and the other two accused, but the police refused to comment on it.

A few days back, the police issued lookout notices for Srikanth and Shiva alias Shivu, who are also said to be the suspects in this case. Srikanth had evidently contacted Shivu to hire contract killers, and Shivu had in return hired people to execute the murder plan. A person named Vignesh who also works for Naresh Shenoy allegedly helped the victims to escape in a Toyota Qualis which was driven by him.
