Mangaluru: Restriction have been imposed under Section 144 in all areas under Mangaluru Commissionerate to ensure peace and tranquility in the region during the vote of confidence of the new Karnataka government headed by B S Yeddyurappa on May 19. 

In an official order, Mangaluru Commissioner of Police Vipul Kumar  said that section 144 will be in operation from 8 AM tomorrow (May 19) until 10 AM on May 20.
