Mangaluru: The City Police on Friday foiled a robbery attempt and arrested three people in connection to the case.

The arrested are Pradeep Kumar(47) alias Pradeep Mendon, resident of Ambalpadi, Udupi, Sunil(20), resident of Kudroli Bengre and Charan Shet (32), resident of Bolar, Mangaluru.

Reportedly, Bharathesh needed funds to avenge the murder his brother Shivaraj Karkera, and later flee to other states with his associates. Thus he was hatching a robbery plot at NH66 near Kudremukha Junction. Having received authentic information, the Panambur Police arrested the three accused from the spot and confiscated lethal weapons from them. Meanwhile, Bharathesh and Naveen managed to flee from the scene.

Pradeep Mendon has 14 cases in various places including Mangaluru City Police Station Limits.nd accused Charan Shet has 4 cases against him.

It may be recalled that Shivaraj Karkera was murdered on January 22 at his residence in Bengre.
