Police bust prostitution racket in city, two arrested

Mangaluru: The CCB police on Monday, January 30 busted a high-tech prostitution racket being operated in a city lodge and arrested two persons in the case.

The modus-operandi of the accused involved luring gullible customers through a website to come to the lodge located in KS Rao Road here and offered them prostitutes in lieu of money. Having received credible information about the racket, a police team comprising of CCB inspector Sunil Y Nayak, PSI Shyam Sunder and other personnel went to the lodge where the accused were arrested.

Two mobile phones, Rs 12,500 cash and an auto rickshaw valuing to Rs 1,64,500 was seized from the arrested persons.
The arrested have been handed over to Bunder police station.
