Mangaluru: The police busted a prostitution racket that was running under the garb of a massage parlour and arrested a woman pimp at Kottara Chowki on Monday, July 30.

According to reports, Lotus Salon and Wellness Centre situated in Ramanughara building at Kottara Chowki was raided for running a prostitution business. Several women and girls were illegally confined and forced into prostitution at the parlour.

Based on credible information, CCB police with the assistance from Kavoor Police raided the parlour and rescued five women. The police also confiscated two mobile phones and Rs 14,700 in cash.

Jayaraj, Rajesh and Sathish who were running the business are on the run.

CCB Inspector Shantharam, Kavoor Police Inspector K R Naik led the teams in the raid.
