Mangaluru: The Ullal Police have busted an interstate cattle theft gang and arrested two persons here on January 25.

The accused have been identified as Diwakaran Nair (47) and Thanul Abhidun (33), both residents of Cherkala, Kerala.

The police have seized 20 cattle, buffaloes and a truck from the arrested persons. The police nabbed the duo from the check-post in Kotekar, Ullal, in the early hours.

According to police, the accused used to transport the cattle to Kerala from Solahpur.

Police have seized items worth Rs 19 Lakh from the accused.
