
Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district Lok Sabha Election In-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and MLA Sunil Kumar has opined that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mangaluru visit this time, would be a historic event.
Addressing the party workers meet of Mangaluru South Assembly constituency on Wednesday, April 10, at the District BJP office in Kodialbail, he said that this time there would be a massive crowd gathering for PM Modi’s public address compared to his visit here for the 2018 Assembly elections.
“This time the district will go into the history books for the largest election campaign in the country”, Sunil Kumar said.
Addressing the meet prior to the preparation of PM Modi’s visit, Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath opined that as per the plan, around 25000 people from Mangaluru South constituency were expected and that BJP candidate from Mangaluru Lok Sabha constituency Nalin Kumar Kateel will win the elections with greater margin than the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
BJP leaders Capt. Brijesh Chowta, Premanand Shetty, Gopalkrishna Herale, Ganesh Hosabettu and others were present.
