Mangaluru: UGC Centre For Women’s Studies of Mangalore University will hold a one-woman Theatre Performance AKKAI by Dr. Nayana Sooda at Yakshagana Kala Mandira, Mangalagangothri on Friday March 11 from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

The play is real life saga of of sufferings and triumph of Dr. Akkai Padmashali, a renowned transgender activist and defender of human rights. This is an attempt to throw light on life of a transgender through Padmashali’s story.

UGC Centre for Women’s Studies Director Dr. Anita Ravishankar, and Mangalore University Registrar Prof. Kishore Kumar C. K. Will be present at the event.
