Mangaluru: Starting this academic year, all Mangaluru University students will be required to plant a tree on campus and care for it until the end of their academic year. As s Students enjoy plants and trees, so the move is part of an effort to make the university campus more environmentally friendly.

Every year, 2,500 students enrol at Mangaluru University, with 1,000 new students being enrolled each year.

The student’s name will be digitally registered and tagged in front of the plant after it has been planted.
