Mangaluru: Health officials on Monday served notice to those who dumped huge quantity of drugs that that crossed the expiry date on the road side here near Pachanady in Bondel.

Following a complaint from the public, Health officer Shankar Nayak and Dhananjay along with other officials visited the site where they found expired drugs dumped on the road side.

The officials while inspecting the area found that the drugs belonged to S P Pharmacy. The persons concerned from the pharmacy were called to the spot and we’re made to clear the same. They were then served notice.

The officials warned that the drugs after expiry date must be disposed in a scientific manner failing which action will be taken against those who defy the rules.
