Mangaluru: “The sudden resignation of honest officer Sasikath Senthil has sent shock waves in Dakshina Kannada district. The reason for his sudden decision should be unearthed immediately”, said Janata Dal (Secular) state vice president M B Sadashiva on Saturday, September 7.

Speaking to reporters, Sadashiva said, “Sasikanth’s letter says that fundamental building blocks of our diverse Democracy are being compromised in an unprecedented manner. The words of Senthil itself says that he was disturbed by the present administration and pressurised by somebody. Efforts should be made to convince him to withdraw his resignation”.

Sadashiva has expressed his suspicion upon the immediate appointment of new Deputy Commissioner to the district. ” Instead of convincing Senthil to withdraw his resignation, the government has appointed new Deputy Commissioner now. There must be some hidden agenda in this sudden development”, he alleged.

Former minister Amarnath Shetty, JDS district spokesperson Susheel Noronha, south block president Vasanth Poojary, women’s wing president Sumathi Hegde and other leaders like Rameeza Banu,  Pushparaj among others were present.
